Account Creation
To get started, please open Google Play Store or Apple App store on your smartphone and download our app (named CPH Trackers) or visit app.cphtrackers.com
Open the app and grant permissions to know your smartphones location and permission to use the device camera. You can opt out of both permissions but they help create a better user experience.
Create a user account with an email address and a password. You will be automatically logged in and go to the main interface.
Before you can register a tracker, you must verify your account. Please open your email inbox and find a verification email from us and click the link to verify your account. If you cannot find the mail, please wait 5 minutes and check again. You may need to refresh your inbox, restart your computer or router or whitelist our domain, cphtrackers.com.
Tracker Registration
Add a tracker by pressing the (+) icon in the bottom menu:
Scan the QR code on the label on the tracker, or enter the 20 digit ID number in case you did not grant permission for the app to use your device camera.
A name will automatically be created for your tracker, which can easily be changed in the trackers settings later.
The tracking profile named Live will be active now, because it is the best to help try out and test the tracker in places where you might want to place it. Please change profile after testing as tracking Live can be relatively power consuming. If in doubt, you cannot go wrong with the Daily tracking profile which promises up to 4 years of battery life with good signal conditions.
Tracker Activation
To activate the tracker, shake the tracker quickly for 10 seconds, preferably outdoors. Leave the tracker outdoors for 5 minutes for the tracker to find its position and send you its coordinates. You will receive a push message on your smartphone and an email when installation is complete. You may want to adjust notification settings later.
The tracker status will change from "Activating" to "Activated" when the tracker is activated. The status changes to "Activated and Live" when the tracker successfully tracks for the first time. You can see this status in the settings menu named "Device info".
If the tracker does not activate within 5 minutes, please wait for the autostart feature to activate the tracker automatically. Our trackers check in once a week to see if they have been registered and should activate, so you may have to wait up to 7 days for the tracker to activate. Please leave the tracker outdoors until it sends you a push or email notification with a track.
